The challenge
A typical situation: the organization is considering rolling out Copilot Cowork through Microsoft’s Frontier program, where Cowork uses Anthropic’s Claude inside the Microsoft environment. Despite the novelty, no one wants to make an organization-wide decision before anyone has actually tried the tool in everyday work. Too many earlier technology purchases were made on the strength of a sales deck, and usage disappointed once the tool finally reached wide use.
How the solution is built
The pilot is limited to one team and four weeks. Before the pilot starts, the EU Data Boundary requirements and the security questions are reviewed so the pilot can launch without leaving them open as a later conversation. The team gets a short kick-off training, after which they use Cowork in their own real work tasks, not in separate exercises.
During the pilot, both usage data and qualitative feedback are collected weekly, so the expansion decision can be made based on what the team actually experiences, not on what is assumed to happen.
What the solution aims for
The pilot gives the organization a concrete basis for the expansion decision: what works, in which use cases the value is greatest and what should be coached better before a wider rollout. The expansion decision no longer rests on guesswork.
